what type of sheeting for a shower/bathtub enclosure?

can i use the green drywall or??

Answers:

1Cement board is best because you don't need any other backer given it's inherent stength. Hardi-backer is fragile in that once scored it will break like drywall.

Of course if you are using tile, then really any waterproof material is fine....greenboard, hardi-backer or cement board.

A word of caution for cement board....it is heavy and somewhat difficult to cut through so it may require a little extra effort.
